Welcome to this course

Welcome to the “CD200615: Internet Tools and their Applications for Teacher Librarians.” My name is Dr. Daniel Churchill and I will be facilitating your learning in this course. I am an assistant professor at The University of Hong Kong. You can find more information about me at http://www.learnactivity.com .

In this course we will be doing a lot of interesting things using emerging Web 2.0 technologies and tools. Click HERE to access a document that outlines content of all sessions in the course. Overall, you will learn about these different tools and how to productively apply them in your own settings. This blog will serve as a page where any course announcement, information and material will be presented. You can also leave your comments to the posts and express your opinion or as questions.

You will also have your own community blog. You need to form a group of 3 to 4 students to maintain this blog. Once you form group you will work with them through out the course on various tasks. I recommend that you use http://www.blogger.com/ to set up your blog. Alternatively you can use any other system to host your own blog. Once you set up your blog, please add a comment to this post to let me know a web address to your blog.

If you have an opportunity to purchase this book, you will find it to be useful and relevant reference:

I wish you productive and enjoying time in this course.
